During an informative tour through Germany and the Netherlands, a group of high-ranking local politicians and administrators from the region Kunshan/China visited BEKA’s factories in Pegnitz and Wannberg.
Kunshan is an ambitious city in the core area of the Yangtze delta, one of the economically furthest developed provinces of China. The region Kunshan with 1.7 million inhabitants benefits from its proximity to the business metropolis Shanghai.
The German Industrial Park, established 2005 by the Kunshan’s municipality and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), is a strong attraction for European and American companies. BEKA also uses the existing infrastructure and operates in the German Industrial Park a subsidiary manufacturing and assembling plant for supporting the Asian market.
The delegation from Kunshan pays a visit to the European headquarters of selected companies which are a part of German Industrial Park. The aim is to strengthen the German-Chinese cooperation, to give attention to partnerships and to provide options for future cooperation possibilities.
After the 14. Asia-Pacific-Forum Bavaria on July 10th, 2019 in Fürth, the delegation visited the BEKA factory in Pegnitz. After the welcome by the managing director Bernhard Köppel, the senior sales manager Bernd Bertelmann presented the company and its worldwide activities. After the company presentation and a tour through production facilities and technical offices in the main factory followed a visit to the new factory in Wannberg, where the production has already been started and further manufacturing processes are continuously initiated step by step.
For the guests from China it was very interesting to learn more about the comprehensive product range as well as numerous application examples of BEKA technology and to see what a company is represented by a subsidiary manufacturing in the German Industrial Park.
